Art enthusiasts, anime fans and creative communities can look forward to Visual Arts Expo (VAX) 2026, a two-day event taking place at Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus from 31 October to 1 November 2026.
Organised by Taylor’s School of Media and Communication, the expo celebrates visual arts and pop culture, bringing together artists, creators, exhibitors and fans interested in animation, comics, video games, film, music, design, photography and performing arts.
Meet Artists and Explore Creative Work
Visitors can discover work by independent creators, browse merchandise and printed artwork, and connect with people from Malaysia’s creative community.
The event will also feature industry talks, portfolio reviews and special-interest panels. These sessions offer opportunities for aspiring artists, students and creative professionals to learn from experienced people working in the industry.
One of the featured guests is Malaysian cartoonist Datuk Lat, best known for Kampung Boy. Other guests include illustrators, animation professionals and creative-industry practitioners.
Cosplay, Community Showcases and More
VAX 2026 will also feature cosplay performances, community exhibitions and Creators Alley, where visitors can explore self-published printworks and crafts by independent artists.
Whether you are interested in illustration, animation, cosplay or simply discovering new creative talent, the expo offers a chance to experience different sides of Malaysia’s visual arts and pop-culture scene.
