Train frequency on LRT Kelana Jaya line back to normal after 2pm: Rapid Rail

PETALING JAYA: The LRT Kelana Jaya line is set to resume normal train frequency after 2pm Tuesday (May 10), says Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd.

A systemic upgrade on Rapid Rail’s light rail transit (LRT) is underway following a probe report by the task force investigation committee on the collision involving two trains on May 24, which left 213 passengers injured. - NSTP/EIZAIRI SHAMSUDIN
In a statement, it said disruptions along the line were caused by a stranded train with a brake problem at the Taman Jaya station.

“For now, efforts to move the stranded train are under way by our engineers with the process expected to be complete by 2pm.

“Services should also resume at a normal frequency following that,” said chief executive officer Amir Hamdan.

He also apologised to users who experienced delays in heading to their workplaces and destinations in the morning.

“Investigations will be carried out to identify the exact cause of the incident.
