Residents in Puchong can now enjoy a refreshed recreational experience as Taman Wawasan undergoes a RM1 million upgrade under the “Taman Rakyat Madani” initiative.
The park’s transformation includes a brand new inclusive playground designed to cater to children of all abilities. Features such as wheelchair-friendly ramps, wide slides, and interactive play panels were introduced to create a more accessible and enjoyable environment for families.
Apart from the playground, the 10.3-hectare park also received several infrastructure improvements including a 1.5km jogging track around the lake, upgraded parking facilities, and additional gazebos for visitors seeking shaded rest areas.
The park is also embracing sustainability efforts with the introduction of a reverse vending machine where visitors can recycle items in exchange for digital rewards. Plans are also underway to expand recycling initiatives involving glass materials, used cooking oil, and old tyres.
According to Subang Jaya City Council the upgrades are part of ongoing efforts to create more people-friendly green spaces while encouraging healthier and more sustainable lifestyles within the community.
