Selangor Launches NINE Super App to Bring Government Services and Public Assistance into One Platform

Selangor residents now have a new digital platform for accessing state government services, local council matters and public assistance programmes. The NINE Super App was officially launched on 15 October 2026 during the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Developed by Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporation) (MBI Selangor) through its subsidiary Selangor E-Wallet Sdn. Bhd., the app aims to make it easier for residents to access government-related services through a single digital platform.

Key Features of the NINE Super App

  • Government and local council services: Provides a central digital access point for services offered by the Selangor state government, local authorities and state agencies.
  • Public assistance programmes: Integrates access to welfare and assistance initiatives for eligible residents.
  • Digital payments and mobility: Supports digital payment services and transport-related features.
  • Public transport subsidy: NINE serves as the official channel for Selangor’s RM30 monthly public transport subsidy, which was extended to KTM Komuter services from 1 October 2026.
  • Transition from CEPat: Users of the CEPat platform are being migrated to NINE in stages. CEPat is scheduled to be discontinued on 31 December 2026.

What’s Next for Selangor Residents?

The state government plans to expand the platform in stages through 2028.

  • 2026: Establish the digital foundation and integrate government and local authority services, including an AI chatbot.
  • 2027: Expand services, assistance programmes and commercial partnerships, with a target of two million registered users.
  • 2028: Introduce further citizen-focused digital services, including an AI assistant and business analytics capabilities.

The initiative supports Selangor’s broader development blueprint, Rancangan Selangor Kedua (RS-2), which aims to improve residents’ quality of life and public service delivery.

Why This Matters to Puchong Residents

For residents in Puchong and surrounding areas under Majlis Bandaraya Subang Jaya (MBSJ), having a central platform for state and local government services could make everyday administrative tasks more convenient.

The integration of public assistance and transport-related services may also help residents access relevant benefits more easily. However, the services available, eligibility requirements and application procedures may differ, so residents should check the relevant programme details before applying.

As more services move online, accessibility, ease of use and reliable service integration will be important in ensuring that the platform benefits residents across different age groups.

What do you think, Puchong residents? Would you prefer having government services, local council matters and public assistance in one app, or do you find separate apps easier to use?
