Puchong Hosts Announcement of Selangor’s Top 24 Startup Finalists
The Selangor Triple Accelerator Programme 2026 has announced its Top 24 startup finalists following three days of pitching and exhibitions.
The announcement was made at the Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) office in Puchong on 11 September 2026. The programme attracted 511 applications, with 90 startups eventually selected to participate across three accelerator tracks.
Three Startup Categories
The finalists were selected across three programmes:
- Deep-X – technology and deep-tech startups
- Retail-X – retail and consumer-focused businesses
- Token-X – blockchain and digital-asset related ventures
Eight startups from each category advanced to the Top 24.
Opportunities for Business Growth
The accelerator programme is designed to help startups improve their business strategies, investment readiness and opportunities for expansion.
The programme is supported by various industry and investment partners, including banks, payment companies, venture capital firms and innovation organisations. These partnerships provide participating startups with access to investment opportunities, industry connections and international markets.
Puchong’s Role in the Startup Ecosystem
Although the participating startups come from across Selangor, the announcement event being held in Puchong highlights the area’s connection to Selangor’s growing technology and startup ecosystem.
Since 2015, Sidec has worked with more than 447 startups and SMEs, supporting businesses as they develop and scale.
The 24 finalists will compete at the Grand Final Demo Day on 14 October 2026 at KLCC, where winners from the three accelerator tracks will be selected. Each track’s champion will receive an RM20,000 cash prize, alongside other opportunities for international exposure and business networking.
Why This Matters to Puchong
The event shows Puchong’s growing role as a location for startup, technology and SME activities. More programmes connecting entrepreneurs with investors and industry partners could create opportunities for local businesses and strengthen the area’s wider digital economy.
Do you think Puchong could become an increasingly important startup and technology hub in Selangor?
