KUALA LUMPUR: A landslide occurred near the Idaman BSP area in Taman Mas, Puchong, at 4:14 pm today.
The incident was confirmed by the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, which sent a unit from Cyberjaya to the scene at 4:48 pm. The team, led by senior fire officer PBK II Azuan Izan Othman, included eight personnel.
No casualties were reported. The landslide, which caused a riverbank to collapse, submerged the construction area of the water treatment plant project to a depth of 19 metres.
“Firefighters monitored the situation and instructed the construction management to halt work,” said Azuan.
“They also advised contacting the Subang Jaya City Council (MPSJ) and the Public Works Department (JKR) to ensure the collapsed area is safe before resuming construction work.”
