A1 AK Koh Group Bhd has announced plans to expand its presence in Puchong with the acquisition of a one-acre leasehold land in Puchong Jaya valued at RM16.73 million.
The purchase will be carried out by its wholly owned subsidiary, AK Koh Enterprise Sdn Bhd, from Qualitypack Properties Sdn Bhd. The site already has approval for commercial development and is set to house a new five-storey regional sales and marketing office, with an estimated built-up area of about 29,000 square feet.
The move reflects the group’s growing operations and workforce in central Peninsular Malaysia, creating the need for a larger and more strategic office location. In addition to the land cost, the company expects to invest around RM8.5 million in development, although final costs may vary.
Funding for the project will come from a mix of bank borrowings and internal funds. While the expansion may place some short-term pressure on earnings, the group expects the new facility to support long-term growth once it becomes operational.
The land price was based on a willing buyer and willing seller agreement, supported by an independent valuation of RM16.5 million. The development marks another step in Puchong’s continued growth as a business and commercial hub.
