Puchong Go-Kart Accident Sparks Debate Over Emergency Response

The operator of a go-kart circuit in Puchong has responded to allegations surrounding a serious accident that left a 21-year-old man with severe head and scalp injuries, saying it is prepared to cooperate with all relevant authorities.

In a statement, RUD Karting said it had completed an internal investigation into the 11 July incident, in which the victim’s hair reportedly became entangled in the go-kart while he was driving with friends.

According to the operator, staff responded immediately after the accident, with multiple employees assisting the injured driver before transporting him to the hospital for further treatment. RUD Karting also stated that CCTV footage, timing data, and call records are available to help establish the facts, while respecting the privacy of the victim and his family.

The company added that customer safety remains its top priority and said it is willing to work with relevant parties to verify the circumstances surrounding the incident. It also wished the victim a speedy recovery.

The accident has drawn widespread public attention after witnesses alleged that the race was not stopped immediately and that professional medical assistance was delayed. These claims have not been independently verified.

The victim was initially taken to Hospital Serdang before being transferred to Hospital Putrajaya, where he underwent emergency surgery for his injuries.
