Three lives were lost, including a pregnant woman, while another pregnant woman sustained critical injuries in a heartbreaking crash near a shopping mall in Putrajaya late last night.
The accident involved a Perodua Viva that skidded on its own, as confirmed by the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM). Firefighters from the Cyberjaya Fire and Rescue Station received the distress call at 12.10 am.
“There were four victims: two men and two pregnant women,” JBPM said in their statement. Tragically, the deceased were identified as Muhammad Danial Mohd Nuzi, 24; Nurulhuda Ramli, 41; and Amizan Sapiie, 27. Nizasuhana Ujang, 28, survived with critical injuries and is receiving treatment at Putrajaya Hospital.
Six personnel led by Operations Commander Sharel Mohemed responded to the scene, using a fire engine to assist in managing the aftermath. The bodies of the deceased were handed over to the police for further action.
This devastating accident serves as a grim reminder of road safety’s importance, particularly in ensuring careful navigation to prevent such tragedies.
