KUALA LUMPUR: Police are tracking a man who failed to stop after being involved in an accident with a motorcycle at Jalan Puchong Utama on Wednesday.
Subang Jaya district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, said police are in the midst of tracking the driver of a Honda BRV.
According to Wan Azlan, the accident happened when the motorcyclist was heading straight from Puchong Utama towards Puchong Permai and collided with the Honda BRV.
“The car, which was on the left side of the road, suddenly turned right, causing the motorcyclist to be unable to avoid the collision,” Wan Azlan said. The victim, a 20-year-old man, sustained minor injuries.
The case is being investigated under Section 43 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for careless and inconsiderate driving, and further investigations are ongoing. The incident went viral on the Facebook page “Kepala Berputar”, which showed a 54-second video of a motorcycle chasing a Honda BRV driven by the suspect.
Those with information are urged to contact the district police headquarters Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department investigating officer Inspector Muhammad Hamdan Jeramatin at 019-4642222 to assist in the investigation.
