SUBANG JAYA Police are investigating a collision involving three vehicles at a parking area in Taman Puchong Indah following the circulation of a viral video on social media.
Subang Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said a 22 second video showing the incident began circulating on Facebook at about noon on January 4. Investigations later confirmed that the incident had actually occurred on December 28 2025 at approximately 12.30pm.
According to police findings the collision happened when a 40 year old local man driving a Proton Persona was attempting to park his vehicle but accidentally pressed the accelerator pedal, causing the car to strike a Perodua Myvi. In a state of panic the driver then collided with a Peugeot before stopping the vehicle.
All drivers involved have lodged police reports. The Proton Persona driver submitted his report after receiving medical treatment to assist with investigations.
The case is being investigated under Section 43 subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for careless and inconsiderate driving. Upon conviction offenders may be fined between RM4,000 and RM10,000 or face imprisonment of up to 12 months or both.
