Police are actively searching for three men armed with parangs following an attempted robbery at a pawnshop in Puchong Prima.
According to Subang Jaya police chief Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, the suspects attempted to enter the restricted area behind the counter but were unsuccessful. The group quickly fled the scene after the shop’s security alarm was triggered.
Videos of the incident have since gone viral on social media, showing three individuals dressed in black entering the premises before escaping moments later. The footage has sparked concern among local residents and business owners in the area.
Authorities are currently investigating the case under Section 393 of the Penal Code for attempted robbery, an offence that carries penalties including imprisonment, fines, and whipping.
Police are urging members of the public with information related to the incident to come forward and assist with investigations, while assuring that the identities of informants will remain confidential.
