Two local men were arrested during an Op Mabuk operation in Puchong after being caught driving under the influence of alcohol along Jalan Lebuh Puteri, Bandar Puteri.
The operation, conducted by the Jabatan Siasatan dan Penguatkuasaan Trafik Bukit Aman in collaboration with the Selangor contingent, took place from 11PM to 5AM. Breathalyser tests revealed that both suspects had alcohol levels exceeding the legal limit.
The individuals were detained and taken to a nearby police station for further action, with the case being investigated under Section 45A(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
In addition to the arrests, authorities also issued five summonses for various traffic offences during the operation. Police emphasized that continuous enforcement efforts will be carried out to curb drunk driving and ensure public safety on the roads.
