KUALA LUMPUR: A sunken manhole cover on the Bukit Jalil–Puchong road was repaired within two days after going viral on social media, drawing praise from netizens.
The issue was highlighted in a TikTok video posted by user @EncikTangga, who pointed out that it was uneven and noticeably lower than the road surface.
"I hit this same spot before. It had been fixed previously but has sunk again.
"Cars keep driving over it. If a motorbike hits it, the tyre could burst and the rim might bend.
“Please share this so others would be careful,” he said in the video.
Two days later, he uploaded a follow-up video showing that the manhole cover had been patched and tarred to match the road level.
“Thank you to the traffic police officer who placed the cones, and to everyone involved in fixing the road,” he said.
The original video has since racked up nearly 800,000 views, with users flooding the comments to share their own experiences travelling along the road.

@sidannazri commented: “I hit it just three days ago. Thankfully, nothing happened to my motorbike. Alhamdulillah.”
