A new 230-meter road connecting Persiaran Taman Perindustrian Kinrara and Jalan BK 5B in Puchong, Selangor, aims to alleviate traffic congestion for over 100,000 residents and businesses in the area. Previously, these areas were only accessible via internal roads, causing delays especially during peak hours. The project, costing RM3 million and completed by the Subang Jaya City Council, is expected to reduce travel time by 15 minutes, significantly improving commuting convenience.

Selangor’s investment, trade, and mobility committee chairman Ng Sze Han expressed satisfaction that the project finished before Ramadan, addressing concerns about residents struggling to reach home in time for breaking fast. The new road offers an alternative route for Bandar Kinrara residents to reach key areas like Puchong Jaya, Bandar Puchong, and Bandar Puteri, enhancing accessibility and easing congestion on existing routes.

Construction of the road, initiated on Feb 8 last year and completed on Feb 14 this year, included essential infrastructure such as drainage systems, streetlights, and slope stabilization, with a significant portion of the budget allocated to slope reinforcement. Subang Jaya mayor Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim suggested additional safety measures such as pedestrian walkways, enhanced lighting, and increased signage to further improve road safety for residents and commuters, especially during nighttime.
