Missing Sepang teen found safe in Ampang Jaya

SEPANG: A 14-year-old girl reported missing on Friday has been safely reunited with her family after being found at a mosque in Ampang Jaya, Selangor.

District deputy police chief Superintendent Shan Gopal Krishnan said the teenager, who went missing from her home in Taman Bandar Bukit Puchong, Putra Perdana, was located at 3:05 a.m.

Police found the teen with the help of public tip-offs.

Shan Gopal said the girl has since been returned to her family.

“The cooperation and support from the community were instrumental in bringing this case to a swift and safe resolution,” he said.

On Friday, the girl’s mother lodged a missing persons report after the teenager failed to return home on Thursday evening.
