Subang Jaya City Council has launched a large-scale maintenance operation targeting high-risk trees across several areas including Puchong, Subang Jaya, Bandar Kinrara, Putra Heights, Taman Lestari Putra, and Serdang.
The six-month exercise will run until 3 November and focuses on improving public safety while maintaining the city’s urban landscape. Works include pruning dangerous trees, removing unstable branches, felling high-risk trees, and clearing green waste from affected locations.
According to MBSJ, the initiative is aimed at reducing the risk of falling trees and broken branches, especially during unpredictable weather conditions that could endanger motorists, pedestrians, and nearby residents.
Multiple roads and residential areas throughout Puchong are included in the operation, such as Puchong Perdana, Puchong Utama, Bandar Puteri, Saujana Puchong, and surrounding neighbourhoods. Traffic monitoring will also be carried out to ensure maintenance works can proceed smoothly.
Residents are advised to remain cautious around work zones, follow instructions from traffic personnel, and plan their journeys ahead of time if travelling through affected areas.
MBSJ added that the operation reflects ongoing efforts to balance environmental sustainability with public safety across the city.
