Massive Fire Destroys Timber Factory in Puchong

A major fire broke out at a timber factory in Taman Putra Perdana early Thursday morning, causing severe damage to the premises.

According to the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, emergency crews received a distress call at around 2.05am before multiple fire stations including Cyberjaya, Dengkil, Puchong, and Seri Kembangan were dispatched to the scene.

Firefighters arrived within minutes and discovered that the Class C timber factory was already about 80% engulfed in flames. Operations were immediately carried out using multiple hose lines, fire hydrants, and water tankers to contain the blaze.

Authorities managed to bring the fire under control by 4am before fully extinguishing it around an hour later. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported during the incident.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, while the incident has drawn attention due to the scale of destruction caused at the factory.
