Police have arrested a man for allegedly threatening an influencer while the latter was conducting a livestream in Kampung Sri Langkas, Puchong.
According to Subang Jaya police chief ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, the incident occurred at around 5.30pm on 6 July when the influencer was recording a live video in the area. During the livestream, several men approached the complainant and instructed him to stop filming.
Police said one of the men, identified as Rahim Bai, allegedly threatened the influencer by saying he would “smash the complainant’s face” if the recording went viral. The incident was captured during the livestream before the victim lodged a police report.
Following investigations, police arrested a 65-year-old local man in Subang Jaya on 8 July. The suspect has been remanded for three days until 11 July to assist with the investigation.
Authorities have not disclosed the motive behind the confrontation. Investigations are ongoing, and police have reminded the public to resolve disputes through lawful channels rather than intimidation or threats.
