Reports surfaced of a gas pipeline fire erupting this morning in Taman Puchong Perdana, Selangor. The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said it received a distress call at 8:23 AM and promptly initiated firefighting operations, which are still ongoing.
Subang Jaya Member of Parliament Wong Chen shared images of the incident on Facebook, noting that the Subang Jaya City Council PANTAS team is assisting JBPM. He urged residents near the fire to remain cautious and expressed hopes for their safety as firefighters work to control the blaze.
A TikTok user, live-streamed the fire, reporting loud explosions and intense heat felt even from a distance. As of 9:37 AM, the fire was still raging, with JBPM personnel actively engaged in firefighting and rescue operations.

[updates] The fire was apparently from a petrol station in Putra Heights, which exploded and caused shockwaves around the housing area. It was also reported that there were some injuries to people in the area who are currently being treated at a nearby temple.
