PETALING JAYA: Two months have passed since Selangor footballer Faisal Halim was splashed with acid and multiple billboards calling for justice can be seen along major highways in the Klang Valley.
Billboards featuring Faisal’s image and the hashtag #JusticeForFaisalHalim can be seen along the Middle Ring Road 2, Damansara-Puchong Expressway and the Federal Highway.
On May 5, the Selangor FC star was attacked with acid at a mall here.
He suffered four-degree buns on several parts of his body and face.
The incident was captured on closed-circuit television (CCTV) but no progress on the case has been reported recently.
In a post on X, user (@farinafishaza) wrote, “A criminal in an oil palm plantation without CCTV can be caught so quickly, but in Faisal Halim’s case, they can’t find the suspect even with many CCTVs.”
Another user (@TajuddinKamil) posted, “It’s tough to catch the culprits. They wear masks, use fake registration plates on their bikes, splash the acid on the victim and take off. Even if there’s CCTV, how do you identify them?”
