The Road Transport Department (RTD) carried out a special enforcement operation in Bandar Puteri Puchong, resulting in the seizure of 34 vehicles and the issuance of 336 notices for various traffic offences.
The operation, conducted in collaboration with Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ), inspected 120 vehicles and uncovered 218 offences involving expired road tax, lack of insurance coverage, driving licence violations, technical offences and other road transport breaches.
Among the vehicles seized were 32 motorcycles, one car and one light lorry. Authorities said the operation was part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety and ensure compliance with Malaysian traffic regulations, particularly among foreign motorists.
One of the cases involved a Rohingya man riding a motorcycle fitted with an illegally modified sidecar, while another involved an Indonesian lorry driver found without a valid driving licence and with an expired passport.
RTD stressed that all road users, regardless of nationality, must adhere to traffic laws and vehicle regulations. The department added that similar operations will continue to be carried out to enhance public safety and maintain order on Malaysian roads.
