Husband arrested over woman’s death near Kesas Highway

Cheras police say the man admitted to a heated argument with his wife before her death.

PETALING JAYA:

A 50-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found along the Kesas Highway near the Awan Besar rest area yesterday.

Cheras police chief Aidil Bolhassan said the suspect, who is the woman’s husband, was picked up at a house in Taman Kinrara, Puchong, at around 6pm yesterday, following a report lodged at the Bandar Kinrara police station.

“He admitted to being involved in the incident, and that he had an argument with his wife while they were on the way home,” he said in a statement today.

Aidil said a urine test conducted on the suspect returned positive for methamphetamine, amphetamine, and benzodiazepine. The man also claimed that his wife had been using meth.

The couple had reportedly been married for 20 years and have two children.
