SHAH ALAM: Damansara MP Gobind Singh Deo, who is a former Selangor DAP chairman, failed to make it into the top 15 in Selangor DAP’s party polls on Sunday (Nov 10).
Puchong MP Yeo Bee Yin emerged as the top winner, garnering 1,180 votes followed by former one-term Teratai assemblyman Tiew Way Keng who received 1,155 votes.
Gobind just missed out on a spot in the top 15, when he emerged in 16th spot with 675 votes.
Notable leaders from the previous line-up who also did not make it this time around were Selangor Speaker and former Banting assemblyman Lau Weng San and Bandar Baru Klang assemblyman Dr Quah Perng Fei.
Others in the top 15 list were Kinrara assemblyman and Selangor executive councillor Ng Sze Han with 1,058 votes, followed by brothers Banting assemblyman and state exco member V. Papparaidu and Klang MP V. Ganabathirau who received 1,028 and 1,020 votes, respectively.
Following the top five were Bandar Utama assemblyman Jamaliah Jamaluddin, who is also a Selangor exco member with 888 votes, Seri Kembangan assemblyman Wong Siew Ki with 840 votes, Royal Klang City Council councillor Lee Fu Haw with 841 votes, Balakong assemblyman Wayne Ong with 831 votes and Subang Jaya assemblyman Michelle Ng with 825 votes.
The bottom five were Selangor exco member and Sekinchan assemblyman Datuk Ng Suee Lim with 810 votes, Bukit Gasing assemblyman Rajiv Rishyakaran with 800 votes, Pandamaran assemblyman Tony Leong with 795 votes, Bangi MP Syahredzan Johan with 780 votes and Port Klang Authority chairman Ean Yong Hian Wah, who was a former state executive councillor and Seri Kembangan assemblyman.
