PUCHONG – A frozen food factory in the Maju Jaya Industrial Park here caught fire early this morning with about 80 per cent of the building destroyed, but no casualties were reported.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director of Operations and Fire Division, Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said they received an emergency call at 6.14am.
He said machinery from the Puchong Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the location 10 minutes later.
“The fire involved a frozen factory with an estimated area of 40 x 80 square feet and is estimated to be 80 per cent burnt. No casualties have been reported so far,” he said in a statement today.
He said a total of 32 personnel with the strength of several machinery were deployed for the extinguishing operation that was still being carried out. – KOSMO! ONLINE
