A major fire damaged four factories at Jalan TPP 5/15, Taman Perindustrian Puchong, on Thursday morning (17 September).
- The fire broke out at around 6.30am and involved a tyre factory, a pipe and valve hardware factory, a furniture factory and an engineering factory.
- Firefighters from Puchong arrived at about 6.45am, with additional teams from Subang Jaya, Penchala, Petaling Jaya, Seri Kembangan and Cyberjaya assisting the operation.
- A total of 33 firefighters and 12 fire engines were involved.
- The fire was brought under control at around 8.30am.
- Reports estimated that the four premises suffered around 90% damage.
- No casualties were reported, while the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
- Firefighters also warned of a risk of roof and structural collapse at the affected premises during the operation.
Residents and motorists travelling around Taman Perindustrian Puchong should remain alert around the affected industrial area while post-fire operations continue.
