Heavy rain lasting nearly two hours across the Klang Valley and Selangor caused flash floods along the Bukit Jalil-Puchong Highway, leading to major traffic congestion during peak hours.
Several sections of the highway were reportedly inundated after continuous rainfall overwhelmed drainage systems, making road conditions difficult and slowing traffic significantly. Motorists were seen navigating through waterlogged roads while long queues quickly built up in affected areas.
The incident once again highlights the recurring issue of flash floods in parts of Selangor during periods of intense rainfall, especially on busy highways and low-lying routes.
