PUCHONG – A 13-year-old boy was safely rescued after a fire broke out at a unit in Sri Pulai Apartment here on Tuesday.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Division Assistant Director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the department received an emergency call at 6.59am.
He said eight officers and personnel from the Puchong Fire and Rescue Station (BBP), supported by a fire engine and additional assistance from BBP Cyberjaya, were immediately dispatched to the scene located approximately 4.8 kilometres away.
According to Mukhlis, the team arrived at 7.09am and discovered that a third-floor apartment unit was engulfed in flames.
“The unit suffered about 80 per cent damage, and firefighters successfully rescued the male victim from inside one of the rooms,” he said.
