KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic on several major highways slowed this afternoon following a vehicle fire, an accident, and a lorry breakdown, according to the Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA).
A car fire was reported at 3.33pm on the Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP) at Km11.2 northbound, between Putra Bend and Taman Megah. While the bus bay slip lane was blocked, traffic remained under control.
Meanwhile, an accident at 3.38pm on the North-South Expressway (E2) at Km98.6 southbound, from Yong Peng Utara to Yong Peng Selatan, resulted in slow-moving traffic.
In a separate incident, a lorry breakdown at 3.59pm on the North-South Expressway (E1) at Km255.6 northbound, from Ipoh Utara towards Kuala Kangsar, obstructed the left lane and caused traffic to slow.
The MHA advised motorists to remain alert, follow instructions from personnel on site, and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.
