SHAH ALAM: Forty-eight individuals, including three locals, were detained following raids on two entertainment outlets in Kepong and Puchong.
The raids were conducted by the Selangor anti-vice, gambling and secret societies division (D7) in an operation codenamed “Ops Noda”.
Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the first raid was conducted at a shop house in Desa Aman Puri, Kepong, at about 11.30pm on Thursday (Oct 31).
"We detained a local and 24 foreigners.
“We seized several items, including an amplifier, a laptop, three microphones and RM528 cash,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (Nov 5).
All those detained were remanded until Nov 4, he said.
“The remand for the locals was extended to Nov 5 while the foreigners are being held for further remand of 14 days for Immigration offences,” he said.
