IOI Malls Ring in the Year of the Horse with Culture, Community and Festive Experiences
IOI Malls is ushering in the Year of the Horse with festive celebrations across IOI City Mall, IOI Mall Puchong, IOI Mall Damansara and IOI Mall Kulai, running until Feb 22, 2026.
This year’s programme blends cultural showcases, performances, workshops and community-focused activities, offering experiences that go beyond shopping.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Year of the Horse with a season that celebrates connection,” said Chris Chong, Chief Operating Officer of Property Investment (Malaysia) at IOI Properties.
Visitors can expect vibrant festive décor, seasonal markets, curated hampers, traditional treats and Chinese New Year attire across all four malls throughout the celebration period.
IOI City Mall: Journey to Prosperity
At IOI City Mall, the festivities take centre stage with the theme “Journey to Prosperity”, highlighted by Trojan — a striking large-scale horse sculpture by local artist Kaiyi Wong (@unrealitykai).
The mall’s performance line-up features Wushu demonstrations, the powerful rhythms of 24 Majestic Drums, and high-energy Lion and Dragon Dance performances by the renowned Khuan Loke Lion & Dragon Dance Association, famed for its gravity-defying 32-foot pole jumps.
Families can also take part in the Hanfu Experience, complete with Instax Fujifilm photography, available through the Club IOI app on weekends and public holidays from Jan 31 to Feb 19. Adding a hands-on element to the festivities, Wantan Bento Making Workshops invite visitors of all ages to get creative while learning a festive culinary skill.
IOI Mall Puchong: 8 Virtues of Prosperity
At IOI Mall Puchong, the spirit of prosperity is brought to life through “The 8 Virtues” installation by local artist Kaiyi Wong, symbolising loyalty, filial piety, benevolence, love, trust, righteousness, harmony and peace.
Festivities at the mall include dynamic performances by the multi-award-winning Kwong Ngai Lion Dance troupe, alongside arts and crafts workshops for children and a Tea Appreciation Workshop designed for adult participants.
On Jan 25, approximately 300 students aged between seven and 12 will take part in a Calligraphy Competition, co-organised with Persatuan Guru Besar SJKC Selangor, celebrating Chinese cultural heritage while fostering community engagement among young learners.
Golden Rewards Await
Across all IOI malls, shoppers can enjoy festive rewards tied to spending, including Prosperity Coin Pouch Blind Boxes and Ruyi Cushions, with AEON Credit Cardholders entitled to lower redemption thresholds.
At IOI City Mall and IOI Mall Puchong, top spenders stand a chance to win Poh Kong jewellery or cash vouchers worth up to RM15,000.
