PUCHONG: Exploring the scenic trails of Wawasan Hill in Pusat Bandar Puchong has become even more convenient, thanks to the recent addition of 49 new parking spots at the trail entrance.
Kinrara assemblyman Ng Sze Han (pic) said that a new parking lot with space for 49 cars was added due to a request from the hikers.
“Bukit Wawasan has become a renowned hiking destination, attracting enthusiasts not only from Puchong but also from across Selangor and beyond.
“With over 1,000 visitors flocking to the trails every weekend, the need for expanded parking facilities was undeniable,” he said during a press conference at the site on Friday (April 5).
The additional parking spots are situated between Persiaran Bukit and Jalan Wawasan 5/1.
He added that the parking lot was completed by December last year, with the project receiving an allocation of RM160,000 to enhance the hiking experience and alleviate parking congestion.
“Previously, visitors would frequently double park along Persiaran Wawasan, causing inconvenience to nearby apartments.
“Occasionally, we had received complaints from residents and traders about the parking situation and I’d like to thank the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) for the timely completion of the project,” he added.
