A total of 33 foreign nationals were detained while 14 compound notices were issued during a joint enforcement operation conducted in Puchong on 7 July.
The operation, known as Operasi Bersepadu Warga Asing, was carried out by the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) together with the Selangor Immigration Department at Kampung Sri Langkas Tambahan and Jalan Jurutera. Several business premises were inspected as part of the enforcement exercise.
According to MBSJ, the 14 compounds were issued for various offences under the council’s by-laws. Meanwhile, immigration officers detained 33 Myanmar nationals, comprising 20 men and 13 women, for further investigation and action under the Immigration Act.
The operation was led by MBSJ Enforcement Department director Muhammad Zaki Yusoff and involved 65 enforcement officers and personnel from both agencies. Also present during the operation were Puchong MP Yeo Bee Yin and MBSJ Zone 14 councillor Kamarul Hafiz Kamarudin.
MBSJ said it will continue collaborating with relevant enforcement agencies to ensure businesses comply with regulations, curb illegal activities, and maintain public order throughout the city.
