Students from SJKT Castlefield have brought pride to Puchong and Malaysia after delivering an impressive performance at the International Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition, which featured participants from 29 countries.
The prestigious competition tested students’ ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately under intense time pressure, requiring exceptional concentration, speed, and mental calculation skills.
Among the standout achievers was Samyuktaa Hariram, who secured second place in the Rookie Category and achieved an impressive fourth-place ranking internationally. Raishan Kumar also excelled by earning third place in the same category while placing fifth in the international standings.
Adding to the school’s success, Nivesh Sargunan received the Superfast Maths Success Prize, further highlighting the talent and dedication of the young participants.
The achievements of these students reflect not only their hard work and determination but also the strong support provided by their teachers, parents, and the wider school community.
