Several welfare homes in S'gor and Negri raided for alleged child exploitation

PETALING JAYA: Several welfare homes in Selangor and Negri Sembilan have reportedly been raided by the police for alleged child exploitation.

According to a Malay daily, raids on the welfare homes said to be linked to a private company, were carried out from Tuesday (Sept 10) night.

The report said several children, believed to be victims of exploitation, were rescued by the police and placed at the Kuala Lumpur Police Training Centre, with raids in other locations being conducted.

The issue was a hot topic on a Puchong community social media page.

Some users claimed they saw enforcement officers taking children out from the welfare homes.

The Star has reached out to the police to comment on the matter.
