PLUS, Touch'n Go ordered to justify RM35 price for RFID stickers, says Works Minister

PETALING JAYA: The government has instructed PLUS Malaysia Bhd and Touch’n Go to justify the RM35 priced for RFID stickers, says Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

The Works Minister said the two companies had been asked to explain how they had arrived at the price for the stickers, Sinar Harian reported on Monday (Jan 24).

He added that the Works Ministry and the Finance Ministry would then determine if there would be a reduction in price.

“The Works and Financec Ministries will study the reports from all angles and find out what justification was used to set the price at RM35,” the Malay language daily quoted him as saying.

“If it (the explanation) is not reasonable, we will ensure that the price is reduced or that it is priced reasonably,” he added.

Fadillah was speaking after a site visit to the Kuala Terengganu Bypass project in Bukit Bayas, Terengganu, on Monday (Jan 24).
