17 October 2025, Puchong, Malaysia – Four Points by Sheraton Puchong, the very first international hotel in Puchong, is proud to announce an exciting new chapter in its journey, a comprehensive refurbishment that will redefine the guest experience while staying true to the hotel’s modern, uncomplicated charm. This marks the first major facelift for the hotel since its opening in 2014.
Well known as a business hotel surrounded by a thriving business and gourmet hub, Four Points by Sheraton Puchong caters to today’s traveler who juggles work and leisure seamlessly. Ideal for corporate guests with tight schedules yet passionate about food, Four Points Puchong is also a
perfect choice for families, offering spacious family rooms for up to four guests. Conveniently located with easy access to IOI Mall Puchong, Sunway Lagoon Waterpark, and Spacerubix E-Sport & Fitness Complex, among others, the hotel is perfectly positioned for guests to turn a business trip into a “bleisure” getaway.
Through the years, Four Points Puchong has maintained a strong performance with impressive occupancy and room rates, establishing itself as one of the leading hotels in the Puchong area. The decision to embark on this refurbishment reflects the owner’s continued confidence in the hotel and its alignment with Marriott Bonvoy’s commitment to delivering exceptional stays amid a growing hospitality landscape.

The refreshed design draws inspiration from Puchong’s early economic heritage, including tin mining and rubber tapping, industries that once shaped the area’s identity. Guests will find subtle nods to this history throughout the interiors: rubber leaf patterns, tree bark textures, and water dew drop motifs elegantly woven into architectural screens, rugs, furniture, and lighting. Tin mining contours, colours, and textures create striking patterns on fabrics and furnishings, while locomotiveinspired design elements pay tribute to the region’s industrial roots. Elements of the Green Heron can be found in the hotel’s decorative touches, paying homage to the bird’s Malay name, “Pucung”, which is believed to be the origin of the name Puchong today.
The refurbishment journey began in August 2025 with the transformation of the hotel’s entrance and front desk, soon to be unveiled. The newly designed lobby will embody a timeless and relaxed aesthetic, featuring Four Points’ latest corporate blue palette complemented by vintage-modern furniture for a sense of contemporary comfort. Guests can look forward to an effortless check-in experience at the refreshed front desk, enhanced by the brand’s signature shelving that displays nostalgic travel memorabilia, a tribute to the spirit of Travel Reinvented.
Next in line for transformation are the hotel’s two dining outlets, The Eatery and Lobby Lounge, both set to reopen in January 2026 — just in time for Chinese New Year celebrations and the Ramadan season. The new Lobby Lounge will feature a 360-degree bar in a sleek, contemporary setting with comfortable seating, work-friendly tables, and floor-to-ceiling glass panels that flood the space with natural light. The inviting alfresco area overlooking the vibrant streets of Puchong will be the perfect spot to unwind with a drink from the hotel’s signature Best Brews™ program.

The Eatery will also debut a fresh and elegant new look, a warm blend of wood, tiles, and built-in sofas accented with the brand’s signature blue tones. The design creates a casual yet stylish dining atmosphere, ideal for enjoying delicious, uncomplicated meals throughout the day.
Additional upgrades include enhancements to the I-Spot Business Center and lift lobbies, which will adopt the new locomotive and tin mining inspired design concept. The I-Spot will be transformed into a flexible meeting room available for guest rental, perfect for small corporate meetings or private gatherings.
The refurbishment of the ground floor is scheduled for completion by January 2026, with guest room renovations commencing in February 2026. The refreshed rooms will feature a contemporary design and brand-new Four Comfort Beds™ for the ultimate sleep experience. The refurbishment will be carried out in phases, ensuring minimal disruption to guests, with the first batch of new rooms ready to welcome visitors by mid-2026.
“Four Points by Sheraton Puchong has been a landmark for travellers to Puchong for more than a decade. This refurbishment is an investment in our guests’ comfort and our commitment to delivering exceptional stays for years to come,” said Alan Yau, Head of Hotels, IOI Properties Group
Hotel Manager, Lee Ai Meng adds “This renovation marks an exciting new chapter for our hotel. We’re excited to unveil the newly refurbished spaces that not only enhances functionality for our guests but also celebrates the vibrant spirit of Puchong.” With this transformation, Four Points by Sheraton Puchong continues to embody the spirit of Travel Reinvented — offering stylish simplicity, genuine service, and the little extras that make every stay delightful.
