Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Ashrul Riezal Asbar stated that the fire involved a row of five double-storey shoplots.
“The fire involved a row of five double-storey shoplots. One hardware shop sustained about 90 per cent damage. The fire spread rapidly, but swift action by firefighters prevented it from spreading to the remaining four shoplots,” he said.
Ashrul confirmed that four workers inside the premises managed to escape prior to the team’s arrival, suffering only minor smoke inhalation. No fatalities or serious injuries were reported.
Operational Response
Overhaul operations were conducted immediately after controlling the blaze to extinguish remaining hotspots.
